π is approximately but not exactly 3.1415 in Hindu-Arabic numerals.

π is transcendental

which means π cannot be the solution of any polynomial equation. we cannot add and multiply real numbers in any combination to get π

this notation is out of reach every digit we extract from π takes us no closer to completeness

39 digits is enough for all cosmological calculations it lets us calculate the circumference of the universe with the precision of one atom

it's practically useless to get more digits out of it there's no end and it will never fall into a pattern (mathematically proven)

and yet we develop sophisticated iterative algorithms to keep digging for more and more we already have 62 trillion digits and it won't stop

such is human endeavour.
